WCR-160Doorstep Waste Collection Robot

Waste collection. At your door.

WCR-160 is a doorstep waste collection robot in development for residential communities. Designed around on-demand requests, bagged-waste loading, covered transport and staff-managed bin exchange, it brings collection closer to residents and connects it with daily property services.

01 / DOORSTEP COLLECTION

A simpler routine.
A collection at your door.

Collection that comes to you

A resident's request starts the collection process, bringing the drop-off point to their door. The robot opens its lid on arrival, with a wide opening for tied household waste bags and on-screen prompts to guide the handover.

02 / COLLECTION & SERVICING

Doorstep collection.
Centralized servicing.

Covered transport, visible bin status

After a bag is deposited, the lid closes for transport to the property's waste handling area. Fill-level monitoring is designed to inform return trips and bin changes, giving staff a view of collection status beyond a fixed timetable.

A removable bin for practical servicing

The single-bin design allows staff to withdraw the full container and fit an empty one using a service cart. Full bins continue through the property's waste disposal process, while cleaning and maintenance take place at the service point, separate from doorstep collection.

THE SERVICE FLOW

From a request to a complete collection cycle.

A service workflow connecting residents, robot transport and property staff.

  1. 01

    Request a collection

A resident requests service, and the robot travels to the assigned doorstep collection point.

  2. 02

    Deposit the bag

The robot opens its lid on arrival so the resident can place a tied household waste bag inside.

  3. 03

    Close and transport

The lid closes after the deposit. Collection tasks and bin status inform the return to the property's waste handling area.

  4. 04

    Exchange the bin

Staff use a service cart to remove the full bin and install an empty one, then handle disposal, cleaning and maintenance.

03 / PLANNED APPLICATION

Planned extension · Hygiene inspections

Spot issues along the route.
Connect them with the right response.

Planned inspections for cleaner shared spaces

The planned inspection function would identify litter and loose items in common areas, record their location, notify property staff and revisit them on a later round. It is intended to support issue reporting and follow-up; cleaning remains with the property team.

PRODUCT DESIGN

Designed for residential services.

A single collection bin, rear bin exchange and a front-facing display bring resident interaction and property servicing into one design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is WCR-160 designed for?

WCR-160 is intended for property-managed waste collection on level, dry routes indoors or in covered passages. Residents deposit tied household waste bags at accessible points outside their doors. Property staff manage onward disposal, bin changes and routine cleaning.

Can it serve residents on different floors?

Service across floors depends on integration with the building’s elevators, access controls and communications. Routes, lift waiting areas and service points require site-specific integration and validation; coverage is defined for each building.

Does the planned inspection feature pick up litter or clean floors?

No. The planned function covers detecting litter or loose items, recording their location, notifying property staff and checking again on a later round. WCR-160 is designed to collect and transport bagged waste; it does not include a litter-picking or floor-cleaning mechanism.

How many households or bags does the 160 L target represent?

160 L is the design capacity target for one bin, not a guaranteed number of bags or households per trip. Collection volume depends on bag size, shape, placement and the fill-level threshold. Actual capacity in service requires complete-robot testing.
